This unidentified 80-foot vessel is one of the many hardworking tugboats that aided schooners navigating in and out of the Chicago harbors during the late 1800s.

Today, the South Tug rests in just 45 feet of water, making it a highly accessible dive. As an added bonus, the remnants of the TYM Barge sit nearby. Divers can simply follow a connecting line between the two sites for a quick view, offering a great two-for-one exploration opportunity.
